Construction on the world’s largest indoor theme park, Dream Island at Nagatino Park in Moscow, is now in advanced stages, and is expected to complete by July 2019.
With 60% of the landscape park completed and a nearby Metro station now open, the Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, visited the site on 8 September to see the development taking shape in advance of its anticipated September 2019 opening.
The 100-hectare project is designed as the first large-scale leisure destination in Russia, expected to be visited by up to 50 million people annually. In addition to the indoor amusement park, the river-fronted scheme provides a regional shopping centre, outdoor leisure facilities, a 400-key, 4-Star hotel, a concert hall, a yacht club and numerous F&B options.
With a reference to historic Russian architecture as well as Western European Gothic architecture, Dream Island has a ‘wonderland’-style design theme.
