In 2018, Magnit decided to refuse the idea of of “compact hypermarkets”, as a result of which the largest stores (with an area of more than 2000 square meters) were transferred under the Magnit Family + brand and began its’ development as “large supermarkets”. Later the same vector chose the X5 Retail Group by transferring part of Karusel hypermarkets to the Perekrestok brand.
